Yesterday I went to see a very nice little jazz band. Well actually, the band wasn't little (6 heads), but the stage was (4 sqm max!). And so was the room (in a pub in Kreuzberg) where too many people tried to fit in. We had to wait for others to move out (to get drinks) to be able to push in a little. But when we found ourselves in the middle of the 'crowd' at last, we had great fun.
They had electric megaphones they used as microphones, a guy who could play two saxophones at the same time, and some other humourous tricks to play. But these didn't need to make up for any lacking musical talent. It was just very nice :)
Afterwards at the bar I heard the gituarist/saxophonist ask the guy who sung/rapped when they did the encore what his name was. The guy introduced himself and gave his business card, adding that he'd love to play with the band some time. What the peep? I didn't even notice they improvised the whole thing! Really amazing.
I found their website. I like their museum :)
