Heimweh & be Berlin

Last weekend I've been back to Eindhoven once again, where I had to take an exam on Monday. It was so nice to be back in my own little house again :) Well, actually, I'm sharing the house now, so it's not mine only, but my roommate was on vacation. Although I would have really liked to see her (haven't since October last year), it was also very nice to see how she added her own little things to the interior. And it still felt very much like home :) When I was back in Berlin, I even felt a bit homesick.
But my visit to home didn't only remind me of how wonderful my life in Eindhoven is, it also reminded me of how wonderful it is to live in Berlin for a while. I had a really great 'be Berlin experience' last Tuesday, biking from the university, passed the Siegessäule, under the Brandenburger Tor, along Unter den Linden over Museumsinsel, looking left-left-left-front-right-right-right-right-front-left-left-left-front-back(to overtake someone not speeding like I did)-front-back-front-right-right-right-front-left-left-left-left-etcetera to see all the beauty around me, biking passed the Marienkirche and the Fernsehturm, reminding myself twice to take a right turn after Alexanderplatz instead of trying to follow the guy on a racing bike I cought up with at every traffic light, biking along the Karl-Marx-Allee towards Frankfurter Tor, and diving into Friedrichshain with all its nice little shops, restaurants and bars. Berlin ist jroos!
